思わぬ被害 unexpected damage

前回の北海道出張中に、台風5号が静岡を直撃。
確か6/20だったと思う。
あれから約3週間が経ち、街中あちこちの桜の木に変化が。
そう葉が枯れてしまってます。
あまりの風の強さに海水が巻き上げられて、雨と一緒に降り注いだ事が
原因だそうです。いわゆる塩害。
写真は苗木を撮りましたが、大きな桜の木も同様に多くの葉が枯れて
しまってるよ。来年ちゃんと咲くのかね?

During last time business trip to Hokkaido, Typhoon 5th directly hit my home town Shizuoka prefecture.
It was maybe 20th Jun, I think.
3 weeks were going from the day and I could find some difference on cherry trees in my town.
Yes, leaves are dying.
The reason of the dying is strong winds raise seawater and the seawater was coming down as rain in our area.
What we call damage from salt.
I’ve taken a cherry sapling but also big trees are being died same as sapling.
Next spring, can we see cherry blossom same as usual or not??
